Local charities are down this year, and many people want to know if there will be enough to go around.
Operation Holiday is nearly 600,000 pounds short on food donations. They're also collecting coats, and they need hats and gloves to go with them. "If we don't receive our food, it means some child, some family may go hungry for the holidays", said Operation Holiday's Daven Girard.
You can drop off coats, hats, gloves and food to the Operation Holiday distribution center at 7500 E. Kellogg.
KAKE-TV is collecting toys for the Salvation Army. You can bring new, unwrapped toys to 1500 North West street now through Dec. 18.
