A Wichita home grown aviation company is adding engineering and other jobs as well.

Mid-Continent Instruments is expanding its presence in the air capital.

A package of state and local incentives will help Mid-Continent Instruments grow its local presence as the avionics maker works to bring new products to market. It includes hiring at least 24 new employees.

The President and CEO of Mid-Continent Instruments is hoping that's a low estimate of their hiring needs over the next few years.

Mid-Continent Instruments' 138 Wichita employees manufacture the avionics going into the panels of primarily general aviation and corporate aircraft.

The company will expand their facilities with new construction to begin in August.
