Train Death Investigation

The Sumner County Sheriff's Office says the death of an Argonia, Kansas teenager hit by a train was a suicide -- staged to give the appearance of a homicide.

The July 5th death of Jacob Allen has haunted the rural community since media reports that the popular, 19-year-old high school student apparently was tied to the tracks with baling wire.

Allen graduated as Argonia High School's valedictorian in May.

Sheriff Gerald Gilkey said this evening, there's no evidence that any other person or persons took part in -- or were present -- when Allen died.
