An organization that custom builds bikes and trikes for kids with disabilities gather at Sedgwick County Park Saturday for a celebration.

Families Together along with the Air Capital American Businessmen's Club, or AMBUCS, kicked off a walk with a gift to a child. The child who was not able to use a regular tricycle because of a disability, was given a custom made tricycle.

"There are several thousand kids in this state that have disabilities," Frank Chappell, President of the newly chartered local chapter of AMBUCS said. "Some of these children have never been able to ride a bike or trike with their friends before, and now with the AmTrykes, they can do that."

Families Together and AMBUCS plan to give away at least 6 other custom built trikes and bikes in the Wichita area in the coming months. Chappell says AMBUCS is dedicated to creating mobility and independence for people with disabilities.
