Pretty Prairie, Kan. -- In Kansas, we are used to the windstorms, but we never get used to the damage they produce.
Well, in Pretty Prairie, west of Wichita in Reno County the storm took out the major restaurant in the town and did damage to other structures. Through perseverance, hard work and volunteers, the Pretty Prairie Steakhouse and Little Rascals Lounge is back open.
“It’s a hundred times better than what I thought it was going to be.” says owner Chris Seneff.
That’s because last July 23rd, what is believed to be a ‘microburst’ hit Pretty Prairie. And it wasn’t pretty.
After five months of hard work, the restaurant is back in business.
