You've heard him on the radio for years. long-time and well-known KFDI radio newsman Dan Dillon silencing his radio microphone to take a job with Sedgwick County.

After nearly 34 years on the air, KFDI News Director Dan Dillon is leaving his broadcasting roots. He'll become media coordinator for newly elected District Attorney Marc Bennett.

" I know quite a few of the attorneys in the D.A.'s office. They are hard-working people, they care a great deal about this community. I care about the community, and I'm anxious to join them."

All of us have listened to Dan's spot news and weather coverage over the years. He says' he'll miss the news staff and remembers the faces of each and every one he worked with.

"When I hear the tornado sirens for the first time and I don't have to go jump into a news vehicle and go out and head towards the storm or come in here to anchor the coverage…I say now that I won't miss it, but I probably will."
