This story was shot in 2002 and remains one of my favorites.
Around Wichita, he was known as the 'bee' man. If you had a problem with bees, Rueben Schupbach would come by your house and take them away. What we didn't know, is that he was also caring for his ailing wife.
His philosophy is timeless and should be heard by each new generation. That's why this story is ageless. Reuben died two months after I did this story, his wife followed him four months later.
This is the only record of those intimate moments with his wife, and the bees.
