One Wichita nun has never needed a season for giving.
For Sister Ann Catherine Burger, that season is every day. She is a tireless worker for the poor in Wichita's Hilltop housing area. Her white golf cart and tireless work ethic are symbols of hope for many.
"Hilltop is a place people live who can't afford to live anyplace else."
At the Sisters of St. Joseph Convent, Sister Ann Catherine Burger, 86, is momentarily quiet and prayerful.
"Prayer gives me strength. If I didn't have the faith and the prayer I probably couldn't do it."
In her white golf cart some call the Chariot of the Gods she twists and turns through the streets of the 400 houses that make up the Hilltop area east of Harry and Hillside.
There is no question that she works---throughout her day---she meets and greets. She has no money to speak of but much of what she gets goes here to the hearts of the folks she loves.
"I wouldn't want to give it up."
