Tonight on Good Question:

Hunting, fishing, farming, it's hard to find something that isn't directly impacted by the ongoing drought. Low water at area lakes like Cheney Reservoir make it almost impossible for recreation. Crops, livestock, even plants and trees are feeling the affects.

That has some of our viewers asking: When was the last time it rained in Wichita? Not a trace, but official, recorded and measurable rainfall.

The answer: It's been over a month. 32 days in fact. According to the National Weather Service, We had a little over a half an inch on November 11th. Since then, not a drop.

So far, december in Wichita has been bone dry. All of November saw just over a half an inch total. October was almost two and a half inches below normal.

But maybe the most astonishing number is 80. Because over the past 80 days, more than two and a half months, Wichita has recorded a grand total of just one inch of rain.
