Tonight’s question comes from Mike on Twitter. He asks, “I drove past Kapaun and their sign said ‘Welcome ABC 20/20.’ What’s that about?” Good question.
A crew from ABC’s 20/20 news program spent five hours on the campus of Kapaun Mount Carmel High School on Wednesday, but their story has nothing to do with any Kapaun students. They were reporting on miracles.
You may remember the story of Chase Kear. He’s Colwich’s miracle man who suffered critical head injuries in a pole vaulting accident in 2008. Doctors did not expect Chase to survive.
Chase’s family offered thousands of prayers to Father Emil Kapaun, the man whom the high school is named after.
Chase did survive his injuries and his doctors call his recovery nothing short of a miracle.
The story will air on ABC’s 20/20 on Good Friday, April 2nd.
