Summer approaches and people everywhere are firing up their grills. Why do we love to BBQ so much? Who invented the modern grill? Gas or charcoal? All good questions.
The answers to tonight’s questions about grilling can be found at YB Meats.
Josh, the manager at YB meats says, “It’s a fun thing, you have people that drink beer and it’s a chance to spend time outside.” Josh also suggests charcoal over gas grills.
In the early 50s, a man named George Stephen was so tired of his old grill, he wanted a better one. Stephen co-owned a sheet metal company that made buoys for Lake Michigan, among other things.
Stephen cut the buoy in half, and the Weber Kettle Grill was born.
Today, according to the Weber Company, more than 85 million American households own an outdoor grill.
