Second Arrest Made In Monday Homicide

Wichita Police have a third suspect in custody in the murder of 34-year-old Ronald Wilson.

Wilson was found shot to death in the 900 block of North Broadway early Monday morning. Authorities say four people were found inside the apartment-- when a drug-related robbery turned violent.

A 22-year-old man and a 23-year-old man are both being held on first degree murder charges. They could make their first appearance in court this afternoon.

Wichita Police have made a second arrest in the murder of 34-year-old Ronald Wilson.

Twenty-three year old Kendall Gentry was arrested Wednesday night in the 1000 block of North Ash and booked on suspicion of felony murder. Police say Gentry was the man who called 911 to report the murder from a payphone at 13th and Grove.

Wilson was killed early Monday morning during what police are calling a robbery attempt at an apartment complex in the 900 block of North Broadway.

Police could present their case on both men to the district attorney's office as early as this afternoon.

Wichita police said a drug-related robbery led to a shooting that killed a Wichita man.

Authorities were called to an apartment in the the 900 block of N. Grove around 2 a.m. Monday. They found 34-year-old Ronald Wilson dead from a gunshot wound.

Investigators said four people were inside the apartment at the time of the shooting. Two of the suspects ran away. A third person ran to a pay phone at 13th and Grove to call 911.

Police have arrested a 22-year-old man on murder charges.

Wichita police are looking for two suspects wanted in connection to an overnight shooting death.

It happened in the 900 block of North Grove around 2 a.m. Monday. Police said someone used a payphone near 13th and Grove to report the crime. Authorities said the caller was in the apartment at the time of the shooting.

Officers arrive to the home to find a 34-year-old man dead from a gunshot wound. The victim has not yet been identified.

Investigators said the victim is a known gang member. However it is unclear whether the suspects or the shooting death was gang-related.

Wichita Police are investigating a suspicious death in Wichita after one man was found dead from a gunshot wound early Monday morning.

At about 1:20 a.m. Monday, dispatchers received a call from a man in the 1300 block of North Grove saying that he had been kidnapped. When officers found the man, he told them that a man had been shot at an apartment in the 900 block of North Broadway.

When police arrived at the Broadway address, they found a 34-year-old man dead from a gunshot wound.

The weapon has not been recovered and there is no available information on suspects.
