Before you head out the door, we want to catch you up with a few of the things that happened while you were sleeping.
Residents of one south Wichita neighborhood may have noticed a heavy police presence early Wednesday morning as officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of South Santa Fe, which is in a neighborhood southeast of Harry and Broadway. Someone in that area reported a disturbance involving a weapon about 2 a.m. Emergency dispatchers say nobody was hurt and no arrests have been made.
If you live in west Wichita and heard sirens just before 2:30 a.m., that was the sound of firefighters heading to the scene of a car fire at 9th and Tyler. No injuries were reported there, either.
While residents of southeast Kansas deal with flooding, there's plenty of wet weather in southwestern parts of the state as well. The Plains-Kismet school district, USD 483 called KAKE News to let us know buses will be running mud routes Wednesday morning.
