Before you head out the door, we want to catch you up with what happened while you were sleeping.

Monday night and early Tuesday morning were relatively quiet in the city of Wichita, with just a few residents perhaps waking up to the sound of sirens.

If you live in east Wichita and heard a lot of emergency traffic a little after midnight, that was the sound of police responding to an officer in trouble call. That call came in about 12:15 a.m. at Murdock and Pershing. The officer was okay and the additional police were called back.

Police in south Wichita will spend Tuesday investigating some break-ins at a used car dealer. Someone called 911 a little after 2:30 a.m. to report people breaking into cars in a lot at Lincoln and Broadway and taking property from those vehicles. No arrests have been made.
