Before you head out the door, we like to catch you up with what happened while you were sleeping.
Three people escaped serious injury after at least two of them were trapped in a car that crashed near downtown Wichita about midnight.
That crash happened near Kellogg and Washington. Emergency crews were told two people were pinned inside a vehicle. Three people had minor injuries.
About an hour later, some residents of south Wichita may have noticed a lot of sirens. That was the sound of fire trucks as crews were sent to check out the report of a building fire near 63rd Street South and Hydraulic. Firefighters didn't find any problems in the area when they got there.
