Police Search For Suspect After South Wichita Stabbing

Wichita police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection to a south Wichita stabbing.

It happened near Kincaid and Topeka just after 10 p.m. Tuesday. Police said a 31-year-old woman called 911 to report that a 39-year-old man had been stabbed. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with stab wounds to his arm and chest.

The victim's wounds do not appear to be life-threatening.

Witnesses report seeing a suspect jump on the victim, attack him, then drive away.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 267-2111.

Before you head out the door, we like to catch you up with what happened while you were sleeping.

Residents of south Wichita likely noticed a lot of police and emergency crews about the time they were getting ready to go to bed.

Officers were called to the report of a stabbing in the 2200 block of South Topeka about 10:30 p.m. A 39-year-old man was taken to Via Christi-St. Francis Hospital in serious condition. He had wounds to his upper arm and chest.
