Before you head out the door, we like to catch you up with what happened while you were sleeping.
A woman is in jail this morning after leading Sedgwick County Sheriff's Deputies and Wichita Police officers on a nearly 30-minute-long chase.
The chase began just before 3 a.m. near 63rd Street South and Buckner in Derby after a deputy tried to pull an SUV over because it had a stolen license plate. Wichita Police used spike strips a couple of times and that chase ended just after 3:20 a.m. in a cul-de-sac in a neighborhood southeast of Pawnee and Seneca.
The woman driving the SUV then tried to run away, but she was caught and arrested. Then police learned there was a Sedgwick County warrant out for the woman's arrest.
Nobody was hurt and nothing was damaged during the chase.
