Before you head out the door, we like to catch you up with what happened while you were sleeping.
Dispatchers, police and emergency crews in the city of Wichita kept pretty busy late Thursday night and early Friday morning.
Wichita Police investigated a couple of shots fired calls. The first report was made to 911 about 12:45 a.m. near Harry and Oliver. Detectives did not find any evidence of a shooting there. Another shots fired call came in from Pawnee and Rock Road about 2:45 a.m. That call originally came in as a shooting, but nobody was hurt.
Police chased a suspect they believe was breaking into several cars in a west Wichita neighborhood. That chase began about 2 a.m. near 21st and Maize Road. It ended soon after near 29th and Tyler. One person was arrested.
Dispatchers in Butler County tell KAKE News they did not have a busy night.
