Before you head out the door, we like to catch you up with what happened while you were sleeping.
Some residents of north Wichita woke up to the sound of fire trucks early Wednesday morning as fire fighters headed to the report of a house fire in the 1300 block of North Indiana, near I-135 and 13th Street North.
That fire was reported about 2:20 a.m. When they got there, firefighters found fire in one room of the house. They were able to bring it under control pretty quickly and the all-clear was given about 2:40 a.m. Nobody was hurt.
Wichita Police were sent to check out the report of a drive-by shooting near First Street North and Grove about 1 a.m. No shooting victims were found in the area.
