Two Killed, Three Hurt In Southwest Kansas Crash

Two people are dead and three others hurt after a head-on crash in Seward County early Tuesday morning.

The crash happened just before 1:30 a.m. about 25 miles north of Liberal on U.S. 83, a few miles north of the junction with U.S. 160.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a Chrysler Town and County southbound minivan driven by Yoh La Li, 42, Liberal, crossed the centerline and hit a northbound Ford passenger car driven by Ma Khin, 42, of Garden City. Both Li and Khin were killed.

Three passengers of the minivan -- Rofada Da, 16, Denver, Colo., Ah Pee, 35, Pittsburgh, Pa., and A Si Ma Be, 16 -- were taken to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
