Wichita Police are searching for two people in connection to an overnight stabbing.
Authorities were called to a home in the 1600 block of N. Waco around 12:40 a.m. Monday. Police said a daughter called 911 to report that her mother had been stabbed multiple times.
The 56-year-old victim told police that a man stabbed her in the bedroom while she was sleeping. She was taken to a nearby hospital with wounds to her eye and torso.
Officials said it is unknown how the suspects entered the home. There were no signs of forced entry.
Authorities have identified two people of interest in connection to the crime.

A woman is in stable condition at a Wichita hospital after an early morning stabbing.
Police were called to the 1600 block of N. Waco at about 12:45 Monday morning. When they arrived, they found a 56-year-old woman with one stab wound to her torso. She was taken to Via Christi St. Francis hospital in critical condition, but has since been stabilized.
Police say there was only one other person in the home at the time: the woman's 32-year-old daughter. According to the daughter, both women were asleep at the time of the stabbing.
Police say there were no signs of forced entry, as the family leaves their house unlocked at night. The weapon has been recovered at the scene.
Officers say they have no suspects at this time.
