A Colorado man has died after an early morning accident in Butler County.
It happened just east of El Dorado around 1 a.m. Wednesday.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Dee Graham, 61, of Pueblo, was driving east on Highway 54 at a low rate of speed. A truck driven by Darrin Champagne, 42, of Trinity, Texas, struck Graham’s truck.
The vehicle was pushed off the roadway and hit a tree. Graham died at the scene.
Troopers said Champagne drove away from the scene. The crash remains under investigation.

A man is dead after a one-vehicle crash in Butler County overnight.
The rollover crash happened just after 1 a.m. along U.S. Highway 54 near River Road, which is one quarter of a mile east of El Dorado. Emergency dispatchers tell KAKE News the driver of that vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Accident investigators are working to determine how the driver lost control before the vehicle rolled. A detective with the Butler County Sheriff's Office says the Kansas Highway Patrol has taken charge of the investigation.
