"You know I read the news every morning but I think just a tragedy like that overshadows anything."
At the midnight premier of "The Dark Knight Rises," tragedy struck.
Twelve people were shot dead, a number of others, injured when a man opened fire.
"I think it's pretty tragic, I mean people are trying to go and watch a movie and you have to worry about your life being on the line, it's pretty devastating."
"I think there's a lot of crazy people out here... Don't you?"
"I'm sure the people that were there probably thought it was part of the, part of a big act but that's unfortunate that that goes on."
The incident has raised many questions... One of the main ones: Is there enough security at movie theaters?
"I want to make sure that we have those procedures and strategies moving forward as we look Wichita being involved, or could be involved, in some of the same type of activity."
"They're going to have to change how they do movie theaters from now on, they're going to have to be checking people, and take more time, and that type of thing."
"This was a case where they broke down the emergency door so I don't know what else could have been done there "
"It doesn't make any difference how much security you have, there's always somebody trying to do something."
Among those injured in the shooting included a six-year-old child. It has many people questioning whether someone that young should have been at a midnight premier in the first place.
"It does seem kind of young to have a kid out that late, at a movie, but you know must be a die-hard Batman fan."
"That's the first thing I thought of, was should there have been children there."
"It depends on who the young people were with, if they're with their parents, I definitely understand, but to go unsupervised, I would have a problem with that."
The other question attached to this shooting is how will it affect ticket sales for that movie.
Will the shooting scare people away, or will the tragedy bring more attention and curiosity?
"The actor on the last time they had it, didn't he commit suicide or something? I'm not going, no, I have no interest in watching it, it sounds like kind of a whole jinxed thing."
"It would change my opinion on going to see a premier, but to see the movie, I think it would still be a good movie."
