A house near Mulvane is being called a "total loss" after two-thirds of the structure was destroyed by fire on Monday morning.
The fire started at about 12:30 a.m. Monday in the 12700 block of E. 103rd St. South.
Firefighters were originally told there might be someone trapped in the home, but confirmed that the one occupant was currently living at a rest home in Mulvane. No one was hurt.
Fire investigators are trying to figure out what caused the fire, but they do not suspect foul play.
