Two women have been injured in a early morning crash in southeast Sedgwick County.
It happened around 6 a.m. Monday when two cars collided at the intersection of 47th Street South and Greenwich.
Deputies believe one of the cars may have run a stop sign before crashing into the other. The force of the crash pushed on of the cars through the fence of a nearby cemetery.
A Wichita Fire Department battalion chief on his way to work rolled up on the accident scene and helped render aid until emergency crews arrived.
One woman from each car, a 54-year-old and a 34-year-old, were transported to an area hospital with potentially serious injuries. No names have been released.
The crash remains under investigation.
