Time is running out if you want to get into swimsuit shape before fall arrives! So if you need a little motivation to get up and break a sweat, what could be more motivating than your very own drill instructor?
J.J. Wagner has been a "cadet" with Blackhawk Fitness Boot Camp for three months. He's since lost 25 pounds and gained much more...
"Being able to actually do 30 pushups when I could only do four at first," he says. "Actually being able to run for five minutes!"
Blackhawk Fitness Boot Camp instructors are all active or former US military. While "cadets" won't hear the kind of yelling and screaming they did when they went through military boot camp, clients are pushed through drills and exercises instructors claim will help you lose weight FAST.
Sergeant Alfonso Gonzalez says his clients they love it.
"After an hour of good intense workout, they're dripping sweat and feel exhausted but they feel good and keep coming back everyday."
The hour long sessions accommodate all skill and fitness levels while the drills and chanting cadences keep the entire group going.
"You have people to help you along and to motivate you as far as other cadets," says Gonzales. Wagner agrees.
"Everybody else kind of pushes you because you want to be a part of that group. You want to keep on moving with everyone else."
