| October 15, 2006--It isn't often Hollywood comes to Kansas. But for the past few days, it came to Oxford, a small community in Sumner County.
Dallas Henry is an actor/director who graduated from Oxford High in 1995. Today he lives in L.A. and is producing a music video for singer Dave Parks, a 1991 graduate of Oxford High. The town has been their set. |

"Dave!!!"
(Music) "Living an American dream...."
"More than me being somebody, I hope these video's show that Oxford is somebody."
"If we have this set up, we can go straight from there to this."
(Music) "Sometimes it's a struggle just to pay the rent."

It's the kind of homecoming that usually doesn't happen in Oxford, Kansas.
"My home town."
"What a better setting than Oxford, Kansas."
'We closed down the Main street of Oxford which is great."

A Hollywood director and a country-western singer, both from the same Kansas town and both hoping to make a mark in their professional careers.
(Music) "Living an American dream...."
Dave Parks is trying to live his American dream.

He makes his home in Nashville, but began his singing career in Oxford and is on the cusp of making it in the big-time.
"We like to think of ourselves as 'big' time, but we're really not big time yet, but we're getting there."
"Here we go, and 'Action'!

Dallas Henry, an actor, now directing the Dave Parks music video. He makes his home in L.A. but remembers his Oxford roots.
"It's great. It's great to see all these fresh faces and all these people I haven't seen in years. It's wonderful."
"And.....Action!!!!"
The town is the set for the two videos that are being shot. The local grain elevator a great place to get that 'Kansas' feel."
"Cut it off...Cut...no, that's fine, that's perfect.."
"You just stand there, that's all you need to do. Don't look at the camera when it comes around."
"You want to start where?" |

"Yes, exactly, there....yeah. That's it Dave."

"Now go..."
(Music) "Sometimes it's a struggle just to pay the rent, my checkbook ain't broke but I can tell it's bent." |

"Great....good job. First one is in guys...it's always the hardest."
