WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita police say alcohol was involved in the arrests of a couple Friday evening, when they drove their car off the road with three children inside.

The incident happened around 6 p.m. in the 700 block of South Gordon. That's near Kellogg and Edwards on the city's west side.

Police said after the car went off the roadway and got stuck, one of the parents tried to push it out while the other was behind the wheel. Their three children, ages, 5, 9 and 11, were also in the car.

Officers arrested 31-year-old Tara Langholz for child endangerment and 24-year-old Dustin Hill for driving under the influence.
