Garden City Police Investigate Weekend Shooting

Garden City Police are investigating a shooting that happened early Saturday morning and sent an 18-year-old man to the hospital.

It happened shortly after 3:30 a.m. Saturday at 4101 E. Highway 50. Police say a white car drove by the home where two men were standing next to a parked car.

Someone inside of the white car fired several shots, striking the 18-year-old man in the foot and pelvis. He was taken by EMS to St. Catherine Hospital before being transported to Wichita for further treatment.

The other man was not hurt. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Garden City Police at (620) 2760-1300 or Crime Stoppers at (620) 275-7807, or text GCTIP and
