Police in Wellington have arrested four people suspected of distributing heroin.

Wellington Police Chief Tracy Heath told KAKE News the arrests were made Thursday following an eight-month investigation by the Sumner County Drug Task Force.

Jeffrey Redford, 34, Wellington, was booked into jail on four counts of selling heroin, one count of conspiracy to sell heroin and one count of using a communication facility to to facilitate a drug sale. Redford's bond was set at $50,000.

Maggie A. Redford, 33, Wellington, was booked into jail on a count each of conspiracy to distribute heroin and selling heroin. She was being held on a $25,000 bond.

William Sirmons, 49, Wellington, was booked into jail on suspicion of distribution of heroin, use of a communication facility to facilitate the sale of heroin, selling heroin within 1,000 feet of a school and conspiracy to sell heroin within 1,000 feet of a school. Sirmons' bond was set at $25,000.

Billy Russell, Jr., 59, Wellington, was booked into the Sumner County Jail on suspicion of distribution of morphine within 1,000 feet of a school, use of a communication facility to facilitate the sale of drugs, selling heroin within 1,000 feet of a school and conspiracy to distribute heroin within 1,000 feet of a school Russell was being held on a $25,000 bond.
