Wichita Police are asking the public to help them identify two people they believe stole a cell phone and keys from a locker inside west Wichita YMCA before stealing a car from the gym's parking lot.

Police say a man and a woman walked into the YMCA branch near Central and Ridge April 18 and asked about a membership and claimed to be from out-of-town. Employees let the pair use the restroom and they went to the locker rooms.

That's when, police say, they broke into a locked locker and took a woman's cell phone and keys before stealing her car from the parking lot.

Police have recovered the vehicle and are still looking for the suspects.

Anybody with information is asked to call police at 268-4325 or Crimestoppers at 267-2111.
