Crime Stoppers reward offered for information in intentional oil spill in Barton County

Great Bend, Kan. -- Barton County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward that leads to the arrest of whoever was responsible for an oil spill west of Great Bend.

The Barton County Sheriff's Office says sometime between July 18 to July 19 between 1 p.m and 8 a.m., someone opened the valves on an oil lease stock tank, spilling around 188 barrels of oil.

It happened in the 800 block of SW 10th Road. The loss is valued at $12,000.
