It's been months since Wichita businessman and community volunteer Timothy McGuigan was found shot to death in his home. Now, investigators hope a tip from the public can help solve the case.
On Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, McGuigan was suppose to have breakfast with his son that morning but never arrived. He didn't show up for work either.
Worried co-workers called his son and asked him to check on his father. The son went to his McGuigan's house in the 2500 block of North Woodridge Street and found him dead.
When police arrived, they discovered that McGuigan had been shot multiple times with a small caliber handgun. There was no signs of forced entry and robbery does not appear to be the motive.
