Thieves stole thousands of dollars worth of equipment and cars from Wichita neighborhood. Now, deputies need your help finding the people responsible.
Sometime between 4:45 and 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11, someone entered a carport in the 13900 block of West 93rd Street North. They took a teal 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan and a white 1999 GMC Sierra.
In one truck bed there was an air compressor, a John Deere generator, miscellaneous Craftsman tools and irrigation parts. A Hobart portable generator/welder was taken from a nearby shed. The loss is valued at more than $14,000.
On that same morning, neighbors told police they saw a red Ford truck with Arkansas plates, occupied by seven men who driving around in the area. A neighbor who stopped to talk to the men said they told him they were looking for a house for a roofing job.
Anyone with information about these thefts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 267-2111.
