Months after criminals set fire to a Wichita mosque, police need your help finding those responsible.
On Oct. 31, 2011, a fire broke out at the Islamic Association of Mid-Kansas at 3406 W. Taft St. After analysis of evidence collected by the Wichita Fire Department, the fire was ruled an arson and the cause of the fire was officially determined as incendiary. The mosque suffered extensive damage valued at over $150,000.
Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 267-2111. An anonymous tip can also be submitted via text message, by texting TIP217, then your message to CRIMES (274637). All ways are secure and anonymous. If your tip leads to an arrest you may be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000, and Crime Stoppers will never ask your name.
