A inmate remains on the loose after escaping from custody more than a week ago. Now, the police are asking for your help in their search.
On Sunday, Feb. 25 shortly after 10 p.m., Sean McKenzie, who was incarcerated in the Sedgwick County Detention Facility, was working as a trustee. McKenzie, two other trustees and three deputies were taking out the trash when he made a run for it. Two deputies chased McKenzie but he was able to get away.
McKenzie was in custody facing theft, burglary and drug charges. He is 33 years old, 5'11 tall and weighs 175 pounds. He has brown hair that's usually kept shaved and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a tan jumpsuit.
McKenzie has several tattoos, including symbols for alpha and omega on the backs of his calves, the English lion on his right biceps, a large cross with circle on the left biceps and the words "Never, Never, Never Give Up" across his upper chest.
