Sometime between 5 p.m. Wednesday, October 20th and 9 .m. Friday, October 22nd, an unknown person or persons entered the concrete materials company property located at 1801 North Greenwich.
The burglars forced entry into two buildings and cut the lines to several machines and the main control line that operates the plant, stripping the copper wire. Approximately 150 to 200 feet of copper wire was stripped from the control line from the control lines to the plant.
The salvage value of this copper wire is estimated at $200, minimal compared to the damage done to the machines and the control lines.
The plant had to shut down for repairs. The total cost of damages is estimated to be as much as $30,000.
