Wichita police need your help in their search for a thief who attacked an elderly woman and stole her purse.

Around noon on Tuesday, Nov. 27, an 88-year-old woman was approached from behind in the Dollar General parking lot in the 1900 block of East Pawnee Street, said Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Sgt. Scott Plummer.

A thief grabbed her purse and knocked her to the ground. She was taken to a hospital and treated for hip, shoulder and facial injuries.
