Thieves get away with thousands of dollars worth of copper. Now police need your help tracking them down.
Sometime between 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1 and 1 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, an unknown person broke into a gated area in the 6100 block of West 55th Street South. Two spools of copper wiring weighing 1,000 pounds were rolled out of the enclosure. Loss is valued at more than $8,000.
