A reward is being offered in connection with the wounding of a Wichita Police officer.
The officer was shot on March 25, 2008 while he worked security at the Wichita Area Technical College in the 300 block of North Topeka. The bullet hit the officer's microphone, preventing serious injury.
The Kansas Troopers Association and the Fraternal Order of Police are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
Information can be provided to 911, any Patrol Substation or the Police Investigations Division at 268-4181. Anonymous tips can also be called to Crimestoppers at 267-2111.
