Yellow Caution Tape Outside Jovan Belcher's NY Home

Monday, December 3, 2012

Family members have put yellow caution tape across the front of the Long Island house where Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher grew up.

Four signs hanging from the tape on Monday said: "Private property. No trespassing."

Some relatives and friends paused to look at a shrine that has been in front of the West Babylon, N.Y., house since Saturday.

It includes his football jerseys from high school, college and the NFL. His high school varsity jacket is also there, along with trophies, photos and balloons.

Investigators in Kansas City continue to search for a motive to help explain why Belcher killed his girlfriend and then himself on Saturday.
