Police say a woman suffered severe cuts to her chest and upper body when she was stabbed during a fight outside an east Wichita gas station. It happened just after 2 a.m. Friday in the parking lot of the Quik Trip at Central and Oliver.

Investigators say a group of several people from two vehicles were fighting when one woman pulled a knife and stabbed the victim repeatedly in the chest. The victim's friends drove her to a nearby hospital for help. Her condition has not been released.

Police say the attacker is described as a 22-year-old black woman who is 5-foot-4 with a heavy build. She was wearing a black sequined leopard print shirt with blue jeans and three-inch high heel shoes that were red with polka dots. She was seen getting out of a yellow Ford Mustang.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the police.
