Woman Shot In Salina Standoff; Suspect In Custody

One man is in custody following a four-hour standoff in which a woman was shot Sunday morning in Salina.

Police were called to a residence in the 300 block of South Oakdale Avenue around 5 a.m. after a woman had been reportedly shot in the leg with a shotgun.

When authorities arrived on scene, a standoff ensued for about four hours. It ended with one man being talked out of the home by police and arrested around 9 a.m.

A second man was also inside the home. Police say he was not taken into custody.

No other injuries were reported. Names of those involved were not released.
