A woman escaped a robbery attempt at a South Wichita ATM, police said today. The incident happened at 2501 S. Seneca at 11:00 p.m. Thursday.
The woman told police she noticed a man wearing a red bandana and carrying a gun walking toward her car. The woman put her car in reverse and got away. She found police nearby and reported the robbery attempt. Police found the suspect in the parking lot.
A 28-year-old man has been arrested for aggravated assault.
