Wichita Police arrested a pair of suspected purse snatchers last night, who may also be tied the recent robbery of a store.
The purse snatching happened Monday night at Walmart, located on Kellogg near Greenwich.
Police say a 29-year-old woman was loading groceries into her car when a man ran up to her and took her purse from the cart. He jumped into a car and drove away.
Witnesses saw what happened and were able to get a license plate, then notified police.
Officers ran the tag, responded to the home address in the 4300 block of East Clark and waited for the car to show up.
When the suspect car arrived, one of the men inside saw police, got out and ran. He was quickly taken into custody along with a second person in the car. The men are 25 and 26-years-old.
Inside the car, officers found the woman's purse along with evidence from the robbery of a Family Video store that occurred on Sunday night.
