Police officers are still searching for two men after a woman was shot Wednesday night.
It happened just before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of South Edwards.
Two men knocked on the door but got no answer. The two then tried to force their way through the door, while the two people inside tried to hold it closed.
One of the suspects fired a shot through the door, hitting a woman in the jaw.
She remains hospitalized, but her injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Both men were said to be wearing dark hooded sweatshirts, but no further information was available.

Wichita Police are searching for two suspects after a woman was shot in the face Wednesday evening in West Wichita. It happened around 8:20 p.m. in the 400 block of South Edwards near Kellogg and Meridian.
Sgt. Kurt Peckenschneider said two men came to the home and tried to coax a man outside. The man tried to close the door on the suspects, but they tried to force their way inside.
Sgt. Peckenschneider says the man's girlfriend, a woman in her twenties, tried to help her boyfriend close the door. That's when the suspects fired shots.
The woman was struck in the jaw by a bullet and taken by EMS to the hospital in critical condition. Police say her injuries now appear to be non life-threatening.
Police are looking for two suspects that were seen leaving the area.
