Wichita Police officers have arrested a man for allegedly impersonating an officer.
Around 11:30 p.m. Thursday night, a Wichita police officer saw a maroon car traveling at a high rate of speed with lights and sirens.
The officer pulled the car over near the area of Southwest Boulevard and West Street, and searched the vehicle.
Inside, they found a large amount of police equipment, including dashboard lights, handcuffs and a baton. Officers also recovered a BB gun.
A 40-year-old man was arrested. Police believe the suspect could be connected to at least two other cases of officer impersonation.
