Police are looking for a suspect after a man was hit in the head multiple times with an ax Thursday night.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. Thursday as a 28-year-old man was about to enter a store in the 7100 block of East Lincoln.
While still in the parking lot, he was hit four times in the head with a hand ax. The victim was driven by private vehicle to an area hospital with multiple lacerations to his head.
Police responded to the store but couldn't find a suspect. Officers say the victim wasn't robbed and they can't find a clear motive for the attack.
The victim later told officers he couldn't remember what happened, and doesn't want to prosecute if a suspect is located. His current condition is unknown.
