Local law enforcement officers arrested 11 people after a weekend DUI checkpoint in western Sedgwick county.
The sheriff's department, along with the Kansas Highway Patrol and Maize police department conducted a sobriety checkpoint in the 6900 W. 21st North late Saturday night.
Five people were arrested for driving under the influence. Officers booked four others on transporting an open container and two people arrested for narcotics possession.
Authorities stopped 459 vehicles during the three-and-a-half operation.
