Two children are in police protective custody following an incident at a convenience store Saturday night.
Wichita Police Sgt. Jeff Swanson said officers were called shortly after 10 o'clock to 37th Street North and Meridian on the report of a woman behaving strangely at a convenience store. Police made contact with the woman and a short time later took her into custody on suspicion of child endangerment and driving under the influence.
Sgt. Swanson said the woman wasn't drunk and was undergoing blood work to determine what exactly happened. The two children ages 8 and 10 were taken to the Wichita Children's home.
